THE HORIZON

Some places exist only because we cannot reach them.

The horizon is one of them. It moves when we move, always keeping the exact distance required to remain a possibility.

Here, the landscape crosses the face and occupies the gaze. We no longer know whether she is looking at the horizon, or whether the horizon has begun to look through her.

Perhaps some distances were never meant to be crossed.
