Rome never quite belongs to the present.

Each age built over the one before without ever managing to erase it completely. Temples, churches, palaces, streets; centuries occupying the same space.

Here, the face enters that same accumulation. Architecture passes through it and alters its scale. For a moment, it becomes difficult to know what we are looking at: a woman facing Rome, or Rome remembering itself.
